9360A Time and Temperature Control
The Energy Sentry Model 9360A Time & Temperature Control is a
precision load management controller that manages its connected load based upon the combined factors of time and temperature. The
first criteria is a defined "on-peak" time, including season of year, day of the week and time of
day. Once this "on-peak window" is defined, the controller looks for other
factors and data within the on-peak window which indicate whether the current
day will be a peak day for the utility.
The second criteria is the outside air temperature (OAT) at the
control's temperature sensor. The 9360A uses a "passive thermal chimney"
designed to draw in, circulate and aspirate air through a temperature sensor
housing which allows the controller's electronics to accurately sense the correct ambient
temperature without being subject to wind, direct sunlight, transient clouds,
solar radiation and other factors. A set-point is established in relation
to an ambient temperature which would be consistent with an on-peak day.
When both criteria are met (or are logically "true"), an on-peak control period will
start. The load is curtailed and the meter is switched by the Controller
to an on-peak status. If either of the criteria are not met
(are or become logically "false"), the on-peak state is terminated and the
Controller and the meter return to the off-peak state. The electric meter will register only
off-peak energy usage and the 9360A will restore the operation of the controlled
load.
The 9360A is a highly reliable and economical answer to load management in
agricultural applications. Contact Brayden Automation Corp. today to
